"Affliction" at Revolution Me Film Festival
The Revolution Me Film Festival believes that it’s important for every artist of every culture to stand for something in their own unique way by creating stories that can change the world. With our short film, "Affliction," we are working towards this by shifting the conversation and expectations around consent. We’re excited for “Affliction," to be an official selection for the festival’s virtual run, screening on August 2nd in their Closing Night Special at 7pm.
Feline Fables: When Addie Met Tino
Watch our second short of Feline Fables, When Addie Met Tino. We hope it brings you a bit of joy today!
Shout-out to Kelsey Rauber for her co-direction and music composition, Dani Thomas for her voiceover, Matt Gershowitz for his post-production work and Kelsey & Dani’s dog Tino!
Due to our production plans for 2020 being derailed by COVID-19, our founder Christina Raia had the idea to keep creativity going even while quarantined by making shorts starring her cats Addie & Vic. Feline Fables, silly shorts about cooped up cats! Each story will star Addie and/or Vic, with cameos from other team members’ pets and some of our human collaborators too. We’ll be releasing one installment per month for as long as we can imagine our furry companions in fun scenarios.
IndieWorks takes a pause.
Our 8th season of IndieWorks was meant to kick off this month with our annual Pride-themed screening. We took our 7th annual Best of Fest online to finish off last season's celebration and honor those filmmakers, but we don't think moving our monthly screenings online will achieve our goals of creating community, conversation and collaboration amongst local artists every month. So our series is going on hiatus until it's safe to gather in groups again. But the intended lineup for June is set and will be the first of Year 8, even if it needs to happen at a much later time. In any case, when the time comes, we hope we’ll be able to see YOU there. And until then, we'll continue sharing alumni shorts on our social media accounts. Wishing you all health & safety!
